NewOrleans Rebuilding

family, Let me start off by thanking you all for your interest in our January 2009 Volunteer Trip to New Orleans. There is still alot of work to be done to restore New Orleans to the city it once was. For all those who missed our general interest meeting on wednesday, here is some of the information we went over: Dates: January 3-10, 2009 Housing: www.indiahousehostel.com124 S Lopez StNew Orleans, LA 70119(504) 821-1904Our housing is in a central location, close to Downtown New Orleans. Travel: 1-15 passenger van1-7 passenger minivanWe will depart on January3rd in the evening hours and arrive in NewOrleans, LA on the evening of January4th . Departure will be on January 9th in the afternoon/early evening hours and arrival in Virginia will be in the late afternoon. Price: $180 per person. This price includes housing for a week, Van rental, and Gas.Accomodations will be made for students to purchase affordable food. Reservations:In order to reserve your seat on the van there will be an online system where you will have to go and register for the trip. This site operates on a FIRST COME FIRST SERVE basis. *Remember* - this trip fills up fast!!! After the list fills up, the only way to get on it is if someone else drops out, or does not pay their money. That too will be on a first come first serve basis. Payment:Payments can be made on an installation plan, the first payment of $80 is to be made on November 28th, but NO LATER THAN DECEMBER 2, 2008!!!!!This initial Non-Refundable payment further reserves your seat on the van.The reason this payment is Non-Refundable is that we have to pay for the housing and the van rentals before hand. So PLEASE, if you are really serious about coming on this trip, have your money in by December 2nd. Otherwise, your seat will go to the next person. Please remember, we fill up the trip on a FIRST COME FIRST SERVE basis. The second payment of $50 is due from December 8th to the 11th. The third payment of $50 is due from December 15th to the 18thPayment Methods:We will begin accepting payments on November 28, at 12pm. These payments can be made in cash or money order. For those who bank with Bank Of America, there will also be an option to do an automatic transfer.
