Our Passion...

Welcome to our blog site!!---As activists, we embrace any interested students, community service organization etc. to become a part of our desire to actively engage and foster a progressive atmosphere here at Hampton University located in Hampton, VA. We appreciate your interest, support, involvement and any idea's you may have to assist in our growth as a collective whole. BCP exists in solidarity with those seeking change, progress, social justice, political awareness, peace and the like; within the community that we live and also the black community afar. We are cultural activists. However, our efforts do not stop only with those of African descent; we are prepared to attain a desirable change for the better in society, no matter the avenue. Although, BCP has done much in our community on campus with our Sweatshop Free fashion show, informative documentary viewings, various forums relating to current social issues; and off campus with our New Orleans Rebuilding trip managed every semester, our organization is by no means static in our ability to continue with the mission. BCP is a continuously evolving social organization concerned fully of human rights issues. As an underground organization on the campus of HU we appreciate our humble beginnings fall semester, 2005. With a deep admiration of all those involved in the establishment, assistance and education of the current members...Black Campus Progressives welcomes you!
